The software file of a railway signalling or control system, ready to write, per SIL.
What you get.
- 20 Word templates: quality assurance, configuration management, verification and validation plans, register of techniques and measures, requirements, architecture, design and test specifications, verification, integration and validation reports, tool classification and validation, release note, maintenance plan.
- 3 folders (SIL 0, SIL 1 and 2, SIL 3 and 4): roles, independence and presence of the assessor set per level. The register of techniques and measures lists the Annex A tables to cover; the rating of each technique (R, HR, NR) is to be taken from your copy of the standard.
- An Excel workbook of 8 verifications (plans, requirements, architecture, components, code, integration, validation, quality assurance): 60 to 62 questions, each with its reference to the standard and the document to look at, statuses, a computed summary and a findings log.
- A 13-page implementation guide, with a chapter on the move to EN 50716:2023, which replaces EN 50128 and EN 50657.
- The requirements traceability matrix, preset for EN 50128.
- A customisation tool that fills in every document with one command.
Every template has its cover page, approval table, revision history, writing guidance, examples and the appendix of the sections of the standard it cites.

Licences
- Team / site licence, $390: unlimited projects and duration, within one team or one site of your company, for the version purchased.
- Enterprise licence, $990: the same for every site and subsidiary of your company.
- You may change the templates, apply your own branding, and hand the completed documents to your customers, the authority and the assessor. You may not resell or distribute the blank templates.
- Fixes to version 1.x are provided free on the download page. Refund on request within 14 days.
Scope and limits
- The kit does not contain the text of the standards. It refers to their sections by number; you need a lawful copy of each standard (RTCA or EUROCAE for DO-178C / ED-12C, CENELEC or your national standards body for EN 50128 and EN 50716).
- The kit grants no certification and replaces neither the authority, nor the assessor, nor an expert in your field. It structures the documents and the evidence they will examine.
- The templates are starting points: each project must adapt the plans to its architecture, its tools and its certification basis.
- Editable Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx) files, compatible with Word and Excel 2016 or later, and LibreOffice 7 or later. Optional customisation tool in Python 3.9 or later.

FAQ
- EN 50128 has been replaced by EN 50716. Is this kit still useful? Yes. Many ongoing projects remain under EN 50128:2011 and its amendments, and the new standard is not retroactive: the applicable standard is decided with your customer and your assessor. The guide explains what changes and how to adapt the plans. The references in the templates are to EN 50128:2011 + A1 + A2.
- And EN 50657 (rolling stock)? Not covered as such; its structure is close and the templates adapt.
- Is there a French edition? Yes, sold separately. The two editions have the same structure, so a team split between countries can share plans and checklists.
- Can I see the content before buying? Yes: the plan review checklist is free, and the images on this page show real pages of the templates.
