Description
Nightshift writes, runs and maintains end-to-end Playwright tests for your SaaS, inside your own repository and CI. Every night your critical journeys run against staging. Every failure is triaged by a person before your team wakes up: real bug, intended UI change, flaky test, or environment. Tests broken by an intended change are repaired by pull request, and the fix is re-run before it is proposed.
Built for SaaS teams of 5 to 50 developers without a QA team. 100 % remote and asynchronous: no meetings required, everything happens in your repository, your CI and your Slack or email.
The Pilot is how every engagement starts: two weeks, fixed price, and the suite is yours whatever you decide next.
Sales page, sample monthly report and sample free checkup: https://nightshift.pages.dev/
What the Pilot includes
- Discovery crawl of your staging app and a ranked inventory of journeys (sign-up, checkout, key features).
- 10 critical journeys written, reviewed and running in your CI (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
- Nightly runs and human triage for the two weeks.
- Pilot report: what broke, what it caught, what to cover next.
Plans after the Pilot
- Starter, $990 per month: 25 journeys, run every night, Chromium, triage within 1 business day, repair within 2 business days, monthly report, email or Slack webhook.
- Growth, $1,990 per month: 75 journeys, run every night and on every pull request, Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, triage within 4 business hours, repair within 1 business day, weekly summary and monthly report, shared Slack channel.
Business hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 Paris time (about 2:00 to 12:00 New York time). Monthly, cancel any time, no minimum term after the Pilot.
How it works
- You order the Pilot and receive the onboarding form (staging URL, test accounts, repository access).
- Within the first days: discovery inventory, then the first journeys by pull request.
- Every night: your CI runs the suite. Each failure gets a verdict and, when it is a real bug, an issue with the failing step, expected and found values, and the trace.
- End of the Pilot: report and the plan that fits, or you keep the suite and stop.
Scope and limits
- Included: browser end-to-end tests of your web app on a staging environment, their maintenance, triage and reporting.
- Not included: load, performance or security testing; native mobile apps; manual exploratory testing and unit tests; testing against production data or payments; fixing bugs in your application code (we report them, your team fixes them).
- A journey is one user flow of up to 20 steps.
- Businesses only.
Terms
- Payment by card through Gumroad, which issues the receipt and handles sales tax or VAT where required. Bank transfer on invoice (net 15): write to support@consignestudio.fr for the order form.
- By ordering, you accept the Nightshift Terms of Service v1.0 of 2026-10-24 and their annexes, available before ordering: https://nightshift.pages.dev/nightshift-terms-of-service.pdf (service levels: https://nightshift.pages.dev/nightshift-annex-1-service-levels.pdf; data processing: https://nightshift.pages.dev/nightshift-annex-2-data-processing.pdf).
FAQ
Who does the work? Consigne, a freelance full-stack developer with six years of Playwright, Vitest and CI pipelines, working from France. Every journey, bug report and pull request is reviewed by that same person. No subcontracting.
Do you need production access? No. Staging, test accounts and access to the repository are enough. No production data, ever.
Do you use AI? Optionally, to draft journeys and propose repairs, from page structure only (never source code, cookies or credentials), and only if you agree at onboarding. Every change is reviewed by a person and re-run before it reaches you.
What happens if we stop? The tests, journeys and CI workflow live in your repository and stay there. The toolkit is open source (MIT): online soon.
Can we try before paying? Yes: send your public URL to support@consignestudio.fr and get a free checkup of your public pages (dead links, script errors, unlabeled buttons, candidate journeys).
